Yefim Bronfman at Carnegie Hall
About the Event
For a memorable evening of piano classics, make your way to the renowned Carnegie Hall in New York to experience the masterpieces by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky, Robert Schumann, and Claude Debussy. Yefim Bronfman's nearly 50‐year tenure at Carnegie Hall has been marked by relentless wonder, with his solo recitals emerging as some of his most notable performances. Tonight’s concert kicks off with a lively Mozart piano sonata, followed by Debussy’s harmonically lush and expansively delicate Images, and Robert Schumann’s Arabeske in C Major, which ascends “as if on gossamer wings” (Los Angeles Times) under Bronfman’s touch. The evening also presents Tchaikovsky’s infrequently performed Piano Sonata in G Major. “In Bronfman’s superhuman hands, its symphonic breadth and orchestral richness [are] accentuated with virtuosic brilliance,” praised The New York Times about his remarkable performance on our stage in 2010.
