Wiener Strauß Gala at the Philharmonie Berlin, Kammermusiksaal
About the Event
At the start of the year, you will have the opportunity to enjoy a festive and celebratory performance of selected pieces by the renowned 'Waltz King' Johann Strauss (son and father). Led by the esteemed conductor Antal Barnás, the Hungarian Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra will bring these pieces to life. Founded in 1999 by Antal Barnás himself, this orchestra is composed of members from Budapest's leading orchestras. In a remarkably short span of time, the ensemble has established a stellar reputation across Europe, performing in prestigious venues such as the Golden Hall of the Vienna Musikverein and various cities like Mödling, Graz, Steyr, Salzburg, and Klagenfurt. The orchestra has become an essential part of the European cultural scene and, under the direction of Antal Barnás, has achieved the highest standards of artistry. This is evident through the orchestra's successful concerts and the high praise it has received from audiences and the press. Each year, the Hungarian Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra embarks on a New Year's concert tour alongside Mr. Antal Barnás, captivating audiences across Austria, Germany, and Switzerland. They also participate in numerous festivals and perform in renowned concert halls throughout Europe.
