Wagner / Dutilleux / Stravinskij / Van Steen: Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano
About the Event
The Russian folk tale of Petrushka, a puppet animated by a breath of vitality and emotions, intertwines with Wagner's Siegfried and L'arbre des songes (The Tree of Dreams), Henri Dutilleux's Concerto for Violin and Orchestra dedicated to Isaac Stern, and performed by the talented Swiss violinist Sebastian Bohren. Dutilleux's 1985 concerto merges the soloist more closely with the orchestral environment, while Wagner's Waldweben evokes the enchanting forest where Siegfried takes refuge in the opera's second act. Jac van Steen's profound experience will guide the audience through this dreamlike journey.
