The Deutsche Oper Berlin presents a concert performance of the original version of Wagner's The Flying Dutchman at the Berliner Philharmonie.

Wagner's Flying Dutchman underwent several modifications during the composer's lifetime. The unfamiliar instrumentation of this rarely heard original version omits the transfiguring conclusions in the overture and at the end of the opera.
