The Fiery Angel: Komische Oper Berlin

About the Event

After over 40 years, Sergei Prokofiev’s masterpiece, which was only premiered after his death, can now again be experienced in Berlin in a new production. The young Australian stage director Benedict Andrews makes his Komische Oper Berlin debut.

In five breathless acts, Prokofiev tells the outrageous story of a woman obsessed by the belief that she loves an angel who is in fact the devil in disguise. A grandiose horror opera which is as gripping as any horror film.

In German language, with German, English, French, and Turkish subtitles.
