About the Event

With a special afternoon concert, Igor Budinstein, freelance conductor, violin soloist and solo violist with the Deutsches Symphonie Orchester Berlin, and his ensemble Symphonia Berlin celebrate both Viennese musical tradition and coffee house culture. In a charmingly moderated format, works by composers such as Fritz Kreisler, Johann Strauss, W. A. Mozart, and J. Brahms will be presented, all of which deal with the Viennese way of life and a mélange of sweet and bitter notes. Historical anecdotes and musical virtuosity combine to form a loving homage to the city of Vienna and its unmistakable culture.
