Violinist Svetlin Roussev’s annual recital in Seoul has become a hot ticket concert, sold out within days of its announcement. This year, in addition to three of the most important and popular romantic violin sonatas, he adds works from his Bulgarian homeland.
Pancho Vladigerov, the most important and influential Bulgarian composer in that nation’s musical history. Vladigerov's early score, Vardar Rhapsody, expresses the composer’s intense love for his country, incorporating songs and folk idioms from Bulgaria. Pianist Yeol Eum Son is a Tchaikovsky Competition medalist.
