Stockholm Syndrome Ensemble: Voices of Angels

About the Event

Join the celebrated chamber ensemble as they explore works in which the human voice is the source of inspiration. The Stockholm Syndrome Ensemble, formed of leading string players from the city's orchestras, is joined by star viola player Lawrence Power and violinist Andrej Power.

Centering their program around Australian composer Brett Dean's piano quintet 'Voice of Angels', the Ensemble goes on to play music by Franz Schubert, Sergei Rachmaninov, Paul Hindemith and Frank Martin, among others, in which instruments imitate the voice.
