Rudolf Buchbinder & the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra at Carnegie Hall
About the Event
Indulge in an interlude of consummately Romantic music. Rudolf Buchbinder plays Brahms' First Piano Concerto, continuing a career‐long association.
Schubert's 'Unfinished' Eighth Symphony, so called because the composer completed only two movements, though he lived for a further six years, continues the Romantic theme. Bartók's suite 'The Miraculous Mandarin' moves us into the Twentieth Century, with vivid orchestration and biting rhythms telling the eerie story.
