Gioacchino Rossini's opera "Il turco in Italia" is a dramma buffo per musica in two acts with the libretti by Felice Romani and will be performed in Italian with German subtitles at the Oper Leipzig.

Die im ursprünglichen Stück nicht vorgesehenen Einlagen, wie Putzmann und Störenfried, hätte man sich sparen können. Die Kostüme des Chores waren geschmacklos.
