Paul Meyer, Julian Steckel & Éric Le Sage: Beethoven
About the Event
Hear three acclaimed musicians who collaborate frequently.
Each is a soloist, but none can resist the allure of chamber music. Paul Meyer is France's most famous clarinettist, as well as a conductor. Julian Steckel is praised for his powerful yet relaxed cello‐playing. Their pianist, Éric Le Sage revels in the subtlety and poetry or Romantic repertoire.
They perform Beethoven's early Clarinet Trio, op.11, as well as a melodic and tender work by Fauré. Finally, Nino Rota's trio, whose last movement recalls the music he wrote for films by Fellini.
