In this highly‐anticipated concert, hear the mellifluous sounds of classical music by Mozart and Beethoven at Dresden's treasured and world‐renowned Kulturpalast Dresden.

For the opening of the 45th festival season, the Dresdner Festspielorchester will invite you to a lively and sonorous musical journey on period instruments, this time leading to the Viennese classical period. Mozart's overture to the 'Magic Flute' and his penultimate symphony in G minor are two extremely popular works by the composer on the programme. The centrepiece of the evening will be Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 5, another highlight of the era. The soloist will be the young celebrated pianist Jan Lisiecki, who is closely associated with the Festival. Together with the conductor and specialist in historical performance practice, Jean‐Christophe Spinosi, he promises a magical evening of music.
