In this concert, the last of several this season that the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France is dedicating to the great works of Schoenberg, we hear a musical glance from the Second Viennese School back to the first—following Schoenberg’s unusual Musical Accompaniment to a Cinematographic Scene with several Mozart arias.

Remaining true to its Austrian theme, this concert conducted by the illustrious Kent Nagano will conclude with the original version of the Third Symphony of a composer more at home in Austria’s countryside than in the big city: Anton Bruckner.
