Music Raises You: Budapest Spring Festival

Felsőörs is now home to a complex talent management programme, whose artistic director is Liszt Prize laureate guitarist Ferenc Snétberger. Enjoy this end‐of term concert of the second‐year students of the Snétberger Music Talent Centre at the Budapest Spring Festival.

Opened in the summer of 2011, the unique camp provides 60 Roma youths annually with an opportunity to develop their musical talent. Their instructors, who are internationally renowned musicians, include Kálmán Oláh, Attila László, Béla Szakcsi Lakatos, Miklós Lukács, János Balázs, Jr., Tony Lakatos and Roby Lakatos. The students of the first year will complete their studies in March, and the level of development these children have shown in this inspiring environment is already obvious. This concert will no doubt demonstrate that at least one of the objectives of the project, i.e. educating musicians fit for the stage and ready to make music with others, has been fully realized.
