The historic baroque organ, built in 1767 by Gottfried Sonnholz (1695‐1781), boasts 339 pipes, with over 300 remaining original from the Baroque era. Despite its limited number of stops, the Sonnholz organ at the Maltese Church in Vienna produces a rich and diverse sound that is truly captivating. The Church of the Holy Baptist is renowned as one of Vienna's most significant landmarks, with its past intricately intertwined with the history of the Order of the Knights of Malta.
