The Budapest Festival Orchestra will play Mahler’s Fifth Symphony, conducted by Iván Fischer. It’s powerful and intense music, including its ode to love. Before the interval, they’ll play Mahler’s Kindertotenlieder (‘Songs on the Death of Children’).
