Although Thomas Quasthoff has resigned from his active carreer as a singer, he has agreed to perform as a narrator at the Salzburg Festival.

The baritone Michael Volle will perform Brahms' 'Die schöne Magelone', accompanied by Helmut Deutsch at the piano.
