Les Épopées & Eva Zaïcik at Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia

Les Épopées, founded in 2018 by French conductor and harpsichordist Stéphane Fuget, has established itself among the best Baroque ensembles. Historical rigour, creativity and emotion are the keys to its prestige, as well as its active contribution to the training of a new generation of musicians specialising in this repertoire. In this concert that mainly focuses on Italian composers, the French ensemble is accompanied by the young mezzo‐soprano Eva Zaïcik in operatic passages from Il Xerse and Giasone, both by Cavalli, and Monteverdi's famous Lamento d’Arianna.
