La Traviata at La Monnaie de Paris
About the Event
Immerse yourself in the magnificent Salon d'Honneur at La Monnaie de Paris and experience Verdi's La Traviata like never before. This unique opportunity allows you to be just a few meters away from the artists, erasing the distance and bringing you closer to the emotions of the performance. Savor this exclusive moment by enjoying a glass of champagne with Violetta, the main character.
Not only will you be captivated by the talent of the artists, but you will also have the chance to discover the oldest institution in France, located in the heart of Saint‐Germain‐des‐Prés. From this vantage point, you can admire exceptional views of the Seine and the Louvre, adding to the enchantment of the evening.
The exceptional artists selected for this production have faced the challenges of the COVID period, with many of them being young talents who have performed on renowned stages such as Les Chorégies d'Orange, La Scala in Milan, and the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona. The bond formed during this time and the quality of the artistic project have created a strong attachment within the troupe of Opera a Palazzo. Under the guidance of artistic director Hugues Rameau, the artists have been rehearsed and prepared by pianists and conductors from Opéra de Paris and Opéra‐Comique, in collaboration with the Musica a Palazzo — Venice team. This collaboration ensures that the essence of this unique experience is fully conveyed.
One notable aspect of Opera a Palazzo is that the casts are not fixed, allowing for a refreshing energy and enthusiasm in every performance. This dynamic approach adds an extra layer of excitement and unpredictability to each show.
Don't miss this chance to discover a new way of experiencing opera, where the Salon d'Honneur becomes a stage that brings Verdi's La Traviata to life. Join us in this extraordinary setting, share a glass of champagne with Violetta, and let the artists transport you to new and unforgettable emotional heights.
