Krivine, Pinter & Orchestre du Conservatoire de Paris: Wagner, Salle Pleyel
About the Event
Emmanuel Krivine invites the great Wagnerian singer Brigitte Pinter to join him and the orchestra of the Paris Conservatory in a varied program.
The Wesendonck Lieder, composed in the late 1850s on wistful poems of Mathilde Wesendonck -- the wife of a Zurich acquaintance of Wagner's -- are matched in this concert with delightful scenes and overtures from Wagner's operas as well as the tender orchestral music from Siegfried Idyll.
