Experience the unique partnership of two musicians, Mika Mylläri and Olga Shiskina at Jaani Kirik Concert Hall. The union of the sounds of trumpet and electric kantele create special music: a classical background and Nordic jazz/ethnic traditions which create exciting fresh sounds that smoothly float on the boundaries of jazz/ethno/fusion.

Mika Mylläri is a Finnish composer, trumpet player and producer. ”Music is for everyone. It´s the breath of the universe”. Mika’s cool and intense trumpet sound has become recognised as ”The Sound of the North”. Olga Shiskina is a kantele and gusli musician whose style was influenced by deep interest in different instruments and music genres. The Russian born, Finnish‐based artist has become one of the main characters in the process of “re‐introducing” folk instruments to the music world by breaking national and stylistic limitations.

The concert program includes famous jazz compositions and arrangements, and original music.
