Jean‐Philippe Rameau's Zoroastre: Festival d'Aix‐en‐Provence
About the Event
Raphaël Pichon leads an ensemble of Baroque singers in a concert version of one of Jean‐Philippe Rameau’s greatest operatic successes, "Zoroastre". With its freemason philosophy, Rameau's opera paved the way for Mozart's "Magic Flute".
Threatened by dark forces, Zoroastre and Amélite emerge victorious. This tragic love story revisits the legendary struggle of good against evil.
