You'd be hard pressed to find another Iva Bittová in the world. The way of musical expression is essentially hers. Unconstrained by conventions, perfectly authentic. Original. Instantly recognizable. The source of her music seems to spring directly from her roots. Wildly predatory, yet clear and fragile, like a mountain spring. Iva's refreshing and life‐giving voice has an almost infinite range of colours and registers of expression. In each of them, she can be true. The February concert is taken from the 2015 CD Slovak Songs. We will also stay in Slovakia most of the time, only Leoš Janáček will take us to Moravia.
