Idomeneo at Teatro Real
About the Event
Listen to Mozart's brilliant opera, Idomeneo, at Teatro Real in Madrid.

Idomeneo, king of Crete, is an opera in three acts and Mozart's third bet on the style of serious opera, breaking down his traditional barriers to make way for lyrical drama.
Music by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756‐1791)
Libretto by Giovanni Battista Varesco, based on the play Idoménée (1712) by Antoine Danchet, on the play of the same name (1705) by Prosper Jolyot de Crébillon
