Homage to Verdi and Puccini at Venice's Palazzo Ca' Sagredo

Immerse yourself in the stunning architecture of Venice's breathtaking Palazzo Ca' Sagredo for the ultimate concert set to awake your understanding of classical music.
Experience and enjoy the musical atmosphere of the 18th century in the halls of the building where the famous Venetian painter Giambattista Tiepolo lived and worked. Listen to a lyrical concert with the most beautiful soprano and tenor voices from the works of the most famous Italian composers Verdi and Puccini.
The location chosen for the event is the splendid palace of the Ca' Sagredo nobility. This ancient residence was built in the 13th century on commission from the Morosini family. Overlooking the Canal Grande, between the frescoes by Sebastiano Ricci, Giambattista Tiepolo, Pietro Longhi, the Soloists of Ca’ Sagredo will make you feel the music and emotions experienced by the doge Nicolò Sagredo (1606‐1676) and his family Sagredo during the three centuries spent in their home. The palace is a splendid treasure chest full of treasures that you will be able to admire during the event.
The concert will be held within the environment that most of all is able to enhance the beauty of the compositions by Verdi and Puccini: the Sala della Musica.
In the program 'Homage to Verdi and Puccini' an important part of the concert will be dedicated to arias, duets and trios from Giuseppe Verdi's Traviata, of which a selection of the various acts of the Opera will be performed: the arias for soprano and tenor 'Sempre Libera”, “Addio del Passato”, “De’ miei bollenti spiriti” and the unforgettable duets “Parigi o Cara” and “Libiam ne' felici calici”. The figure of Giacomo Puccini will be honored with some of the most famous arias from Bohème, Tosca and Turandot in an ever‐changing program that will see the performance of the romances 'Nessun Dorma', 'O Mio Babbino Caro', 'Si, mi chiamano Mimì'.
During the intermission all present will be able to enter the 'Portego' hall and admire the view of the Grand Canal, while tasting the Venetian sweet 'Cadeu' dedicated to Maria Callas.
