Hansel and Gretel

About the Event

Humperdinck's 'Hänsel und Gretel', based on the popular German tale by the Grimm brothers, will be performed at the Oper Leipzig.



Hansel and Gretel's mother sends her children out into the woods to gather strawberries, ordering them not to come back until the basket is full. So, Hansel and Gretel go into the woods but get lost on their way home. Eventually they find themselves at the evil witch's gingerbread house, and their true adventures begin…

Humperdinck's opera is a musical event for the entire family during the Christmas season!
