Immerse yourself in the breathtaking architecture of the Dresden Zwinger and experience the ultimate concert of works by female composers.

When one thinks of classical music, one usually associates composers — men of high repute and worldwide fame. However, there were also female composers such as Clara Schumann or Fanny Hensel, women who dared to do something completely new and risky in their time and thus crossed the boundaries of convention.

The trio of members of the Dresden Residence Orchestra dedicates this concert to these great women artists. Under the direction of Prof. Igor Malinovsky, the musicians, who have already inspired audiences as soloists, present a unique concert experience in the Wallpavillon of the Dresden Zwinger.

Small, fine and extremely exclusive, we will take you on a very special journey into the world of these important female composers.

The concert hall in the Wallpavillon is located on the upper level of the Dresden Zwinger Palace opposite the Glockenspiel Pavilion. One path leads up from the inner courtyard of the Zwinger via curved steps. The second path leads from Theaterplatz over a small rampart — located to the right of the restaurant & Café Alte Meister / Theaterplatz 1a and opposite the left side of the Semperoper Dresden — to the upper level. There are three sandstone steps to climb. On concert days, signs will guide you to us.
Due to the historical construction, the toilets and the concert hall are not barrier‐free but only accessible via steps.
