Fantasia: Orchestre National d'Ile de France
About the Event
Trumpeter Romain Leleu meets Enrique Mazzola and l'Orchestre National d'Île‐de‐France to perform a program with Fantasy as its main theme, at Salle Pleyel in Paris.
The figure of 'the magicien' became famous thanks to Walt Disney's Fantasia. For children and adults, Walt Disney emphasized one of the first qualities of music: it frees the imagination.
The program features other forms of play: surprise games (Jack in the box is this imp that springs out of a box when we expected to find something else…) or card games (in his Jeu de cartes, Stravinsky strove to transform each dancer into a playing card with a joker disrupting the game).
