Laugh along with Verdi and Shakespeare at the (mis)adventures of the corpulent knight Sir John Falstaff.

Verdi's final opera – a grandiose comedy: the roly‐poly roué Sir John writes the same love letter to two different women. Logically, this leads to plenty of turbulence on the stage. This jolly work of Verdi's old age reaches its climax in the recognition that "Everything on earth is a joke!"
