Chad Hoopes, Dennis Russell Davies & Konzerthausorchester Berlin
About the Event
Chad Hoopes, a first prize winner at the Young Artists Division of the Yehudi Menuhin International Violin Competition, has already at 20 years old been performing with renowned orchestras around the world. He has received international critical acclaim for his talent and magnificent tone.
Tonight he joins the Konzerthausorchester Berlin under the direction of Dennis Russell Davies for a diverse program of Adams, Glass and Bruckner. The first two pieces are modern compositions (1985 and 1987 respectively) by composers known for their connection with minimalism. Bruckner's Symphony No. 1, from 1868, was nicknamed "saucy maid" by the composer.
