Clarinettist and composer Jörg Widmann figures prominently in the programming of the Pierre Boulez Saal's first concert season. In this stimulating performance, he performs with his sister, violinist Carolin Widmann, and pianist Denis Kozhukhin.
Beginning with Schönberg's challenging final instrumental work, the 'Phantasy for Violin with Piano Accompaniment', the program then moves to Weber's most popular chamber music composition, the Grand Duo. The evening closes with the jazzy rhythms of Bartók's 'Contrasts'.
