Charlotte Coulaud gave an extraordinarily powerful concert last night at Saint Ephrem. Her performance of Beethoven Piano Sonata 17 ("The Tempest") was stunning, and her playing Schubert and Chopin pieces were beautifully nuanced and compelling. Wherever else Ms. Coulard plays, I will try to be there, but last night at Saint Ephrem church will remain memorable.

Dans cet endroit hors du temps, ce fut un concert magnifique de grâce, de puissance subtile. Bravo à la pianiste, qu'elle prouesse. Un grand merci comme à chaque fois.

Wonderful performance. Two encores — Charlotte didn't seem to want to stop playing — produced deserved standing ovation.
