Host of the Music Festival Grafenegg, Rudolf Buchbinder, will perform with the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of rising star Yannick Nézet‐Séguin.
     
The programme can be put in a nutshell by the simple question: do you like Brahms? The renowned Dutch orchestra’s Music Director is Yannick Nézet‐Séguin, the French Canadian rising star on the music scene. He will assume the post of director of The Philadelphia Orchestra in 2012.

There’s a special feeling in the air when you step through the gates of Grafenegg to plunge into the open atmosphere of this Music Festival. Here is a fascinating combination of past and future, tangible in the contrast between the old castle and the modern open‐air stage, Wolkenturm. On mild summer evenings, performances are in the open; in poor weather, the Auditorium opens its doors.
