Brahms: Symphony No. 1 & Mendelssohn: Hebrides Overture

About the Event

The symphonic season concludes in grand style with Kirill Petrenko and four soloists from the Orchestra of Santa Cecilia. The program opens with Mozart’s Sinfonia Concertante for Winds, followed in the second part by a masterpiece of 19th‐century symphonism: Brahms’s First Symphony, conducted by Petrenko, current chief conductor of the Berlin Philharmonic. This performance renews the collaboration between Petrenko and the Accademia di Santa Cecilia, where he has always received a triumphant welcome from the audience. An event not to be missed.
