Bologna Festival: London Symphony Orchestra, Antonio Pappano, Lisa Batiashvili
About the Event
Experience the sublime harmonies of classical giants Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Richard Strauss, and Hector Berlioz in the historic and internationally celebrated Auditorium Manzoni in Bologna.
Antonio Pappano has had a long and storied partnership with the London Symphony Orchestra, beginning with his initial performance in 1996 and leading to his recent role as principal conductor. His association with Georgian violinist Lisa Batiashvili, starting in Rome in 2015, is newer but equally significant. Prior explorations of major 20th‐century violin concertos with Pappano have set the stage for a fresh rendition of Mozart’s final violin concerto, seamlessly integrated with two monumental symphonic works of the 19th century.
