Berio/ Ravel /Respighi /Ceretta: Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano

About the Event

The Orchestra Sinfonica di Miano honors the profound creativity of a 20th‐century luminary: Luciano Berio, who served as Honorary Conductor of LaVerdi between 2000 and 2003. The Milan Symphony Orchestra unveils the inaugural concert of Compass, a recital crafted for piano and orchestra (1994), which beautifully melds music and architecture. This is the perfect celebration for Berio's centennial, featuring a 'Florentine' ensemble of exceptional musicians: Andrea Lucchesini on piano and Diego Ceretta conducting. Together with the Orchestra, they deliver a program that seamlessly integrates Ravel's Valses nobles et sentimentales and Respighi's Fontane di Roma.
