About the Event

“La straniera“ (The Stranger) is as romantic as it is compelling. It is with this opera, that Bellini found his own voice.

The melancholic atmosphere that surrounds the main characters and the mysterious music with which he characterizes the stranger form a strong unity between music and drama. This performance at the Concertgebouw will be conducted by Giancarlo Andretta.
