About the Event
An enchanting summer evening in Sorrento, in the courtyard of the prestigious Villa Fiorentino, where the beauty of Neapolitan music and opera arias blend together in a unique atmosphere. The soprano and tenor, accompanied by mandolin and piano, will offer a repertoire that celebrates the Neapolitan tradition and the elegance of opera, enveloped in the magic and history of one of the most fascinating places on the Sorrento Coast.
In this unique concert, our artists will perform some of the most famous opera arias from La Traviata, Rigoletto, and Tosca, to name a few, as well as traditional Neapolitan songs, including the beautiful O Sole mio, Funiculì Funiculà, and Torna a Surriento.
Villa Fiorentino
Villa Fiorentino majestically overlooks Corso Italia, road built in the mid‐800 and main street of Sorrento. The Villa was built in the 20's — 30's of the '900 from Fiorentino‐Cuomo families and then donated to the city of Sorrento. Commissioned in neoclassical style, it reminds of the American twentieth‐century villas. The Villa hosts prestigious art exhibitions in the internal rooms, while in the external spaces it represents the ideal location for entertainment events for the many foreign guests who choose the city of Sorrento as a destination for their stay and for residents who wish to spend free time.
