Modern Spain wouldn’t be the same without Pedro Almodóvar. Nor would it sound the same. The director from the La Mancha region has profoundly influenced our stereotypical visualizations, intertwined with a shared soundtrack. From the beginning, Almodóvar has excelled at selecting music that perfectly complements his visuals, a trait of only the finest cinematographers. This flawless blend of sight and sound defines much of his impact.
Pasión Vega’s rich voice offers listeners a journey through songs that have become iconic in Almodóvar’s creative universe, etching themselves into our audio and emotional landscape. La bien pagá, Volver, A tu vera, Piensa en mí, Un año de amor, Puro Teatro, En el último trago, Cucurrucucú paloma… These songs delicately touch our emotions, accompanied by the acclaimed jazz pianist Moisés P. Sánchez.
