“Una con Lui”, Oratorio for soprano solo, string quartet, and piano
Rome, Museo Santa Francesca Romana
About the Event
On March 8, 2026, at the Museo Salone Santa Francesca Romana (Vicolo di Santa Maria in Cappella, 6 – Rome), the world premiere of the Oratorio “Una con Lui” for solo soprano, string quartet, and piano will take place, featuring music by Maestro Aurelio Porfiri.
The work is based on the text from the “Life” by Giuseppe Mattiotti, adapted by Alessandra Bartolomei Romagnoli, and offers a profound spiritual and narrative portrayal of Saint Francesca Romana.
“Una con Lui” is more than a musical narration it is an inner journey. The soprano’s voice intertwines with the expressive texture of the string quartet and piano, shaping in sound the dynamic tension between active life and contemplation, between works of charity and mystical union.
Performing this work in the very place that preserves the memory of the Saint adds a powerful symbolic and spiritual dimension to the event.
