Oratorio Del Gonfalone: Beethoven 2027 – The birth of a language
Rome, Oratorio del Gonfalone — Main Hall
About the Event
Step into the enchanting world of timeless melodies and intricate harmonies at the Oratorio Del Gonfalone.
A special project marking the bicentennial of Ludwig van Beethoven’s death (1827–2027)
The first event of the project is dedicated to the young Beethoven, still immersed in dialogue with the legacy of Haydn and Mozart, yet already driven by an unmistakable expressive personality. The Sonatas and Marches for four‐hand piano, rarely performed in concert, reveal a brilliant and dialogic style of composition, in which the intimate, domestic gesture opens up to a broader, more theatrical dimension.
