About the Event

Romaeterna Cantores invites you to a new, refined musical event set against the timeless beauty of Rome. “Music in the Garden” is a concert designed as an experience of listening and contemplation, held in the charming garden of the Ospitale di Santa Francesca Romana, a space where art, history, and nature come together in a unique way.

The program offers a journey through some of the most significant works of the vocal chamber music tradition from the 19th and early 20th centuries, featuring music by Gaetano Donizetti, Mikhail Glinka, Giovanni Sgambati, Francesco Paolo Tosti, Ottorino Respighi, Licinio Refice, and Aurelio Porfiri. A musical journey that blends Italian and European sensibilities, combining lyricism, elegance, and expressive depth.

The evening’s performers will be soprano Marianna Ivashchenko, an artist of great finesse and interpretive intensity, and pianist Peter Sorokin, an attentive and versatile musician capable of accompanying and bringing out every nuance of the singing.

The concert will take place outdoors, in an intimate and atmospheric setting, offering the audience a rare opportunity to experience music in a direct and engaging way, far from the more formal setting of a concert hall.
