About the Event

Immerse yourself in an evening of musical mastery with Maila at the awe‐inspiring St. Andrew's Church of Scotland.

The most famous Salon Romances by Francesco Paolo Tosti end the masterpieces of the Neapolitan Song
A very nice show which will take you in a 1800 musical living room with musicians in original dresses.

The charm of nineteenth‐century musical salons is revived in a unique musical event… 'Malia, Il Salotto Musicale Napoletano dell'800' promises to transport the audience to an era of elegance and refinement through a concert performance in costume conceived as a dive into the past, an immersive experience that recreates the typical atmosphere of bourgeois and noble salons in nineteenth‐century Naples: an entertaining and refined evening with wonderful voices accompanied by violins and piano that will bring the salon to life by performing Tosti's most beautiful chamber arias and the most famous Neapolitan songs, interspersed with waltzes and readings, all accompanied by valuable historical notes on the pieces and splendid direction.
The artists involved in this show (Bruna Tredicine, Loretta Venditti, Costanza Fontana, and Marta Vulpi, sopranos Tiziana Pizzi, Eva Maria Ruggieri, and Tiziana Caruso, contraltos Massimo Simeoli, Alessio Potestio, and Luciano Miotto, baritones/basses Antonio Sapio, tenor) will take turns as guests in the Neapolitan salon to give voice to the splendid melodies, while Emilia Nigro, Valeria Modica, and Alberto Vitolo on violin, and Mirco Roverelli, Ida Iannuzzi, and Tatiana Chiarini on piano will accompany the performances, accompanied by valuable historical notes by Claudia Simonetti, the hostess.

Don't miss the opportunity to participate in this extraordinary event, which combines the beauty of classical music with the magic of Neapolitan songs, in the beautiful setting of the Scottish Church in Rome! You are all invited to let yourself be carried away by the melodies and emotions of an era that continues to enchant with its timeless charm.
