Ennio Morricone: Cinema, Emozione, Passione
Rome, Chiesa di S. Paolo entro le Mura — Sala 1
About the Event
Step into an immersive evening dedicated to the legendary Ennio Morricone at the enchanting Chiesa di S. Paolo entro le Mura (St. Paul's Within the Walls Church) in Rome.
An unmissable concert dedicated to one of the greatest composers of our time.
“Ennio Morricone: Cinema, Emotion, Passion” is a powerful and evocative journey through the film scores that shaped the history of cinema, performed by musicians who collaborated directly with the Maestro.
On stage, the Quartetto Pessoa together with Tommaso Quaranta on piano and voice create an evening filled with beauty, emotion, and memory. Piano, strings and voice weave together a musical narrative featuring timeless masterpieces such as Cinema Paradiso, Once Upon a Time in America, Malena, Mission, The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, and Once Upon a Time in the West.
Alongside Morricone’s legendary music, the program includes special surprises: original compositions and songs by Tommaso Quaranta, as well as iconic works by Yann Tiersen, Franco Battiato, and Francesco De Gregori, creating a rich dialogue between film mu sic, Italian songwriting, and contemporary composition.
The arrangements of Ennio Morricone’s music are by Massimiliano Gucci, enhancing the expressive power of the strings and the evocative depth of piano and voice.
More than a concert, this is an emotional experience — a heartfelt and passionate tribute to Ennio Morricone, where music, memory, and imagination come together on stage.
