Regensburg

The medieval city of Regensburg, located in evocative Bavaria, is the oldest settlement on the Danube River. The historical center of Regensburg, which is about twenty centuries old, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Having served as a principal stop on the European trade route during the Middle Ages, Regensburg has preserved its historically significant architecture and culture and has much to offer in the way of museums, cultural sites, theater, and musical performances – especially those that take place in the justly famed St. Emmeram Palace.
