Rafał Blechacz & DSO Berlin: Dvorak Prague Festival
About the Event
The closing concert of the Dvorak Prague Festival will reach its high point with the performance of the Symphony No. 9 in E minor, From the New World as interpreted by a splendid ensemble, the Deutsches Symphonie Orchester of Berlin. The orchestra will be joined by 28 year old star‐pianist Rafał Blechacz for a performance of Schumann's Piano Concerto Op. 54.
The first piece of the program, 'Changements' by David Philip Hefti, was written in 2011. The young Swiss composer is one of the acknowledged contemporary composers with many awards to his credit: to name just one of many, the prestigious Ernst von Siemens Prize for 2013.
