St. Vitus Cathedral

St. Vitus Cathedral is the largest and the most important religious building in Prague. Its Gothic steeples dominate the Prague city skyline. Building began in 1344 and was completed nearly six centuries later. Apart from religious services, the coronations of Czech kings and queens also took place at St. Vitus. The cathedral is the burial place of local patron saints, sovereigns, noblemen and archbishops.
