Poznań, St. Joseph’s Basilica — Concert Hall in the underground
About the Event
The piano concerts by candle glow are dedicated to the outstanding and most renowned Polish composer – Frédéric Chopin. His works are recognized all over the world, and his name ranks among the greatest composers of all time. Chopin’s compositions are considered some of the most beautiful piano works in the history of music.
In addition to selected works by Chopin, the program also features some of the most interesting piano compositions by world‐famous composers such as Bach, Beethoven, Liszt, Schumann, and Rachmaninoff.
The uniqueness of our concerts lies primarily in the venue – the underground chambers of the Discalced Carmelites Basilica in Poznań. This remarkable historic space, with its exceptional atmosphere and excellent acoustics, gives piano music a special depth and character. The sound of the piano resonating through the stone underground halls by candle glow creates a truly unique atmosphere, offering listeners extraordinary emotions and an artistic experience that will remain in their memories for a long time.
This is a unique opportunity in Poznań to experience a piano concert in such an extraordinary and historic setting.
