Each concerto is a musical painting brimming with color, energy, and poetic observations of nature.
In addition to the famous Four Seasons, works ranging from Boccherini to Mozart will be presented in the first part of the concert.

Antonio Vivaldi went down in history as the founder of the instrumental concerto genre and the father of orchestral music. He was born in Venice on March 4, 1678. Vivaldi was a frail and sickly child who suffered from asthma however, this did not prevent him from devoting himself entirely to music. His father, Giovanni Battista, a professional violinist, taught his eldest son Antonio to play the violin. Through his father, the young Antonio got to know the best musicians in Venice at the time and gave concerts in local churches. He also worked as a violin teacher and later as music director at the Ospedale della Pietà orphanage. In the meantime, he composed concertos, sacred works, and vocal music, and in 1713 he gained great recognition for his sacred choral music. Vivaldi was fascinated by the world of opera and worked both as an opera composer and as an impresario at the Teatro San Angelo. In 1717, he received a prestigious position at the Prince’s court in Manua as director of secular music and worked there until around 1720. During this time, he composed his world‐famous masterpiece, *The Four Seasons*. In the 1730s, his career declined as his music fell out of fashion, and the great composer died in poverty. It took two centuries for the world to rediscover and reevaluate Vivaldi’s music, as it had fallen into obscurity after his death. At the beginning of the 20th century, many previously unknown works were discovered, which immediately captured the hearts of music lovers.
