The Orchestre Hélios is a professional musical ensemble based in Paris, founded in 2015 by Paul Savalle with the aim of bringing classical music to a wide audience in iconic heritage venues. The orchestra combines artistic excellence with accessibility and the promotion of cultural heritage.
Composed of professional musicians from leading French and European ensembles, the Orchestre Hélios performs a wide repertoire, ranging from Baroque masterpieces to the great works of Romanticism, as well as major works from the sacred and symphonic repertoire. The programs are designed to offer the audience an immersive musical experience, highlighting both the richness of the works performed and the exceptional acoustics of the venues that host them.
The Orchestre Hélios stands out for its performances in historic Parisian buildings, particularly churches and monuments with strong cultural significance. This artistic and heritage‐based choice creates a dialogue between music, architecture, and spirituality, while attracting a wide audience, bringing together international visitors, spectators in search of discovery, as well as music lovers and musicians knowledgeable about the classical repertoire.
In addition to these concerts in heritage venues, the Hélios Orchestra also performs in concert halls, thus broadening its performance formats and artistic possibilities in order to cater to a diversity of audiences and projects.
Beyond concerts, the Helios Orchestra develops regular collaborations with choirs, soloists, and renowned artists, as well as event‐based and educational projects. Collaboration with different conductors plays an essential role in the ensemble's dynamic, nourishing the diversity of interpretations, stimulating the musicians, renewing the collective energy, and helping to reinforce the impact of the concerts on the audience. Each production is the subject of in‐depth work, with particular attention paid to the artistic quality and overall coherence of the programs offered.
Through its identity, professionalism, and artistic vision, the Orchestre Hélios has established itself as a committed player in Parisian musical life, working to promote lively and demanding classical music that is resolutely audience‐oriented and driven by a strong desire to pass on the classical repertoire.
